A Jazz Musician Walks Into a Comic Shop...Dave Chisholm is a trumpet player, songwriter, composer, bandleader, educator, and visual artist. He received his doctorate in jazz trumpet from the Eastman School of Music in 2013. The breadth of Chisholm's artistic output is exemplified in a long string of widely varied projects, including his newest release Instrumental, a graphic novel & modern-jazz soundtrack, published by Z2 Comics and Outside In Records. As part of the SOIS Comics Lecture Series, David will explore the intersections between music and comics.
