Location: GIS Auditorium (building 81/SUS, room 1130)http://bit.ly/GISdirections This presentation will explore the work of ALLENKAUFMANN, which has developed a diverse range of projects along the fringe of traditional architecture and design including residential, commercial, fashion, restaurant, club, sculpture, installation and hybrid projects. Various work has been influenced and tested in rural and urban environments – in homes and nightclubs – in parks and on walls. The fringe style and up-and-coming way of practicing affords ALLENKAUFMANN the luxury of working hands-on with both projects and objects.  Speaker: Justin Allen, founder of ALLENKAUFMANN ALLENKAUFMANN is a man and woman, Berlin and New York design partnership. The practice is committed to the collaborative aspect of creating projects and objects through a process of inspiration, imagination, fabrication and refinement. Justin Allen is from New York. Before forming ALLEN- KAUFMANN, Justin worked for Steven Holl Architects in New York City and von Gerkan, Marg und partner in Berlin.
