Description: Your Competitive Advantage? … Data Superhero!

Most organizations are not fully utilizing the data at their disposal. In fact, they often stink at it! They miss opportunities to improve products, optimize operations and beat competitors to the punch. Why? because they can't find the right insights at the right time.
Then, YOU step in… data engineer extraordinaire! Current and new engineering disciplines will create a wave of much needed innovations by harnessing the expanding sea of data around us. And an essential new role of data engineer will be front and center in winning companies. Will you be the one to save the day?

Jim Swift
(KGCOE-ME ‘88)
CEO of Cortera, Inc. (FL)
A confessed data geek, Jim has spent the past 25 years finding creative solutions to a variety of business and community safety challenges. He is currently President & CEO of Cortera, where he is obsessed with creating new analytics to streamline B2B supply chains.
Earlier in his career, Jim was on the leadership team of Seisint, a data company that “helped good guys catch a lot of bad guys.” Seisint was acquired by LexisNexis in 2004 - the world's largest acquisition of a venture capital-backed company that year - and Jim served as the Chief Operating Officer of LexisNexis Risk Management after the acquisition, until leaving to create Cortera.
Jim's engineering degree from RIT provided a valuable launch platform to a career that he says has been a blast so far.

Snacks available after the presentation.
