Event Details
Event Name: Four Voices
Category: Cultural/Musical/Theatre
Description: We are proud to present a medley of operatic arias and duets sung by three talented Eastman School of Music voice students (graduate students Adelaide Boedecker and Keeley Futterer, sopranos and senior Sophia Fedderson, mezzo soprano). They will then sing a little swing to introduce the second half's dessert which will be Lee Hoiby's "Bon Appetit", a hilarious operatic spoof of Julia Child's famous French Chef television program. It will be sung by mezzo soprano, Kathryn Cowdrick, Associate Professor of Voice at the Eastman School of Music. Ms. Cowdrick performed this work for Child's 2007 induction into the National Women's Hall of Fame. She can be expected to enthusiastically spatter the stage with flour and eggs. Accompanist for the entire program will be Benton Hess, Distinguished Professor of Voice and Music Director of the Eastman Opera Theatre.
