Ellipse Magazine Launch Party
This year’s edition of a student-made publication with an award-winning history will be unveiled during a launch party open to the RIT community. The release event for Ellipse magazine — produced by School of Photographic Arts and Sciences and School of Design students in the Editorial Photography and Design class — is set for 2-3:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9, in Booth Hall, room 3310. Copies will be available for purchase and free food will be provided.The publication was called Positive/Negative for 10 volumes, with this being the third Ellipse iteration. Over the course of its history, the magazine has won a litany of awards, including being a regular winner in the student portion of the American Advertising Awards at the local, district and national levels.To support the publication and its printing and photo production costs, visit its crowdfund page.
