The Center for Engaged Storycraft is excited to feature a screening of Agnes Varda’s The Gleaners and I this Thursday, March 7th at 7:30 p.m. - 9:45 p.m.  in the Magic Spell Studios auditorium. In this award-winning film, Varda travels throughout France with a handheld digital camera filming "gleaners"-- people collecting remains of food (by necessity due to poverty, or environmental ethics), and she presents herself as a gleaner of stories and images in making her documentary film. The film is captioned in English and interpreters are available on request. Food and beverages from Lovin’ Cup beginning at 7:00 p.m. outside the Magic Spell Studios new auditorium (MSS-2180). Film screening begins at 7:30 p.m. and will be followed by a short discussion moderated by Rebecca DeRoo - Associate Professor of Performing Arts & Visual Culture. Join us!
