The Cary is pleased to host Just Poets in exploring the poems of Emily Dickinson through the art of the book. "In Color/ With Emily," will be presented by Sue Huggins Leopard, where she will talk about her series of miniature books in conversation with and in response to poems by Dickinson. Sue Huggins Leopard is a Rochester artist and proprietress of Leopard Studio Editions. Previously known as a Private Press, the artist prefers to think of it as a House of Possibilities where words and images come together in a sometimes wild and hopefully intriguing bookish form. Her work is exhibited nationally and abroad and is held in public and private collections, Including the National Museum of Women in the Arts. Visit Leopard Studio Editions online. Rochester-based Just Poets celebrates poets and poetry by supporting writers at all levels of ability to improve their work and find their individual poetic voices. Just Poets also seeks to increase the public’s awareness and appreciation of poetry. These events are hosted by the Cary Collection in connection with our spring exhibition, Josef Albers: The RIT Murals, on view in our gallery through May 2019.
