Citation Management: Using Mendeley

Using Mendeley -- this session will provide a demonstration of and basic instruction for using Mendeley, an online citation management system. Mendeley allows users to create formatted bibliographies in many citation styles, and output those bibliographies to word processing programs such as Microsoft Word. Mendeley also allows users to access a social-media-like network of fellow scholars in their disciplines, as well as share references and bibliographies with colleagues. All faculty, staff and students are welcome to attend this workshop.Attendees may want to familiarize themselves with the product slightly before this demonstration. Mendeley is available as a free download for use with web browsers or as a standalone program. Attendees may also find this online guide to be helpful.Attendees who use laptops are encouraged to bring them to the session, so that they can install the free Mendeley software.
