Wondering what the new interdisciplinary Center for Engaged Storycraft is all about? Curious about how it might allow you to develop your work in storytelling or share research and methods and new technologies with others locally, nationally, and internationally? Interested in designing a workshop that tailors your skills in story to a professional audience or wider community? Or, just looking to meet other faculty from across the university who are interested in story – as a primary way we communicate, analyze, perform, build knowledge, and engage the world? Join us this Wednesday, March 27th from 3:00-4:30 p.m. in the Campus Center Reading Library for our first CES faculty mixer!! We will showcase some of the exciting research projects and storytelling workshops the Center for Engaged Storycraft’s faculty advocates are pursuing, announce faculty awards for research collaborations and workshop development in the coming year, and discuss some of the Center’s plans for the coming year, as identified by the CES steering committee. The rest of the mixer will serve as a space and time to mingle and share interests and ideas for the future and get to know more about what we’re all doing in these areas. Feel free to come and drop by anytime during the event, as schedules allow. We will have appetizers and beverages on hand. Interpreters are available on request.
