Alumni lecture: Famed photo duo Williams + Hirakawa
Mark Williams and Sara Hirakawa graduated from RIT’s School of Photographic Arts and Sciences (SPAS) in 1997 and have become a famed photography duo since their 2003 marriage.They have found tremendous success photographing fashion and editorial material as a collaborative team, known as Williams + Hirakawa. The Los Angeles-based alumni are returning to speak as part of SPAS’ Charles Arnold Lecture Series. Their public talk is set for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 18, in Carlson Auditorium (room 1125 in the Chester F. Carlson Center for Imaging Science).The work of Williams + Hirakawa has appeared in publications around the globe, including Elle, ESPN The Magazine, GQ, Harper’s Bazaar, Rolling Stone, Vanity Fair and Vogue Japan.
