Rochester Reads author Reyna Grande

Writers & Books' annual community reading program Rochester Reads again comes to the RIT campus. Join us to hear author Reyna Grande read from her memoir The Distance Between Us. The book is a true coming-of-age story that follows Grande's family in Iguala, Mexico, as first her father and then her mother emigrate (as undocumenteds) to the US, leaving their children behind living with relatives in dire poverty for several years—until the children, too, make the dangerous border crossing. The reading will be followed by a Q&A and book sale and signing. Free and open to the public. No registration required.Interpreters provided upon request subject to availability. To make a request, please go to this page: http://www.myAccess.rit.edu
