RIGA Tech University & RIT: Research Collaborations and Opportunities for Exchange Programs

All faculty and students are invited to this presentation about research collaborations and opportunities for exchange programs at Riga Technical University (RTU), in Riga, Latvia. Guest presenters include RTU doctoral Students Mara Pudane, Department of Artificial Intelligence & Systems Engineering; Maksims Zigunovs, Department of Applied Mathematics; Benjamin Varela, Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering, KGCOE; and Michael Radin, Associate Professor of Mathematics, College of Science, RIT.The presentations include information on the location of the university in Latvia; the English-speaking bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral programs; and research projects and research opportunities for students and faculty. Mara and Maksims will share their experiences as students at RTU and their research projects. Ben, who recently returned from RTU, will share several contacts' research interests to discuss possible collaboration; Michael will share his teaching and research experiences at RTU.  Presentation is from 2-3 pm, followed by open discussion with presenters, Q&A, social hour.This event is co-sponsored by the College of Science, RIT's Honors Program, and Faculty Career Development in The Wallace Center.
