FOSS@MAGIC Talk - Inside Facebook's Open Source Program with Christine Abernathy

FOSS@MAGIC welcomes Christine Abernathy, Developer Advocate on the Open Source team at Facebook, for our last FOSSTalk for the year. Christine will be talking about the insights into some of the challenges her team has faced as they continue to scale their open source program and some of the tools and processes they've used to help solve their biggest engineering challenges. Facebook builds hundreds of projects to make sure the company's services work smoothly. We've learned that through openness and collaboration, we can tackle today's most complex engineering challenges faster than if we did it alone. Open source has become fundamental to how Facebook continues to move fast and operate at scale.  Christine Abernathy is a Developer Advocate on the Open Source team at Facebook, with previous Developer Advocacy roles on Parse and Facebook Platform. Prior to Facebook, Christine headed up engineering at MShift, a mobile banking software provider, delivering iOS apps and mobile browser-based products. Prior experiences include co-founding Clickmarks, a mobile and enterprise middleware provider. Registration for the event is free but registering lets us know how much pizza to order.
